Adult Leader Recognition Awards

Each year, Scouts Australia recognises the outstanding achievement and contributions to the Scouting Movement, of Leaders and Adults in Scouting, based on contribution and service to Scouting. The following leaders involved with our Group have received Scouting awards since 1998. A link to the citation is provided where possible 

Silver Kangaroo for Eminent achievement and exception service over a long period or for a unique and highly valued contribution to the wellbeing of Scouting

Distinguished Service Award for Distinguished Service to the Scout Movement

Silver Koala for Distinguished Service to the Association for a period of at least 14 years

Outstanding Service Award for Outstanding  Service to the Scout Movement

Silver Wattle for Outstanding  Service to the Association for a period of at least 10 years

Silver Arrowhead for Excellent Service to the Scout Movement

Meritorious Service Award (From 2014 - Replaces Silver Arrowhead) - for Meritorious or Praiseworthy Service to the Association for a period of at least 6 years

Certificate of Merit - In recognition of good service to the Scout Movement.

Special Service Award (From 2014 - Replaces Certificate of Merit) - In recognition of noteworthy contribution to the success of their section or formation or the the wellbeing of Scouting - as a result of a period of at least 12 months intense effort.
