What do you need?

Because the different age groups or sections in Scouting each participate in a different level of activity please click on the links below to see what your child needs.

In reality, Joey Scouts take very little because they usually stay in huts, Cubs take heaps, Scouts are more independent and take what is required for camp and Venturers usually take the bare minimum. The amount of gear they take will vary.

Keep in mind that if your purchase good equipment for your Joey Scout then it should easily last them till they are adults. It is worth the investment for good, warm sleeping bags but other things such as tents and back packs might be provided for by the group for use at camps and hikes, if in doubt please speak to your leader.

Click on the links in the left hand menu to see some of the other things that you might need in the individual sections!
